Google est l’un des noms les plus connus de l’industrie technologique. Mais comment cette entreprise a-t-elle vu le jour ? L’histoire de Google est l’histoire de deux \u00e9tudiants de l’Universit\u00e9 de Stanford, Larry Page et Sergey Brin, qui ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 une entreprise qui allait r\u00e9volutionner le monde de la recherche sur internet.<\/p>\n

En 1995, Larry Page et Sergey Brin se rencontrent pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 de Stanford. Tous deux \u00e9taient des \u00e9tudiants en informatique qui cherchaient \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la recherche sur internet. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, la plupart des moteurs de recherche se concentraient sur le nombre de fois o\u00f9 un mot cl\u00e9 apparaissait sur une page web pour classer les r\u00e9sultats. Page et Brin croyaient qu’il y avait une meilleure fa\u00e7on de faire les choses.<\/p>\n

En 1996, Page et Brin ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur un projet appel\u00e9 Backrub. Backrub \u00e9tait un moteur de recherche qui classait les pages en fonction de leur popularit\u00e9, plut\u00f4t que de la fr\u00e9quence des mots-cl\u00e9s. Backrub \u00e9tait un succ\u00e8s, mais Page et Brin voulaient aller plus loin.<\/p>\n

En 1998, Page et Brin ont fond\u00e9 Google. Google \u00e9tait bas\u00e9 sur l’algorithme de Backrub, mais avait des am\u00e9liorations significatives. Google \u00e9tait plus rapide et plus pr\u00e9cis que les autres moteurs de recherche de l’\u00e9poque. Le nom Google vient de “googol”, un terme math\u00e9matique pour 10 puissance 100, qui symbolise la mission de Google de rendre toutes les informations du monde accessibles \u00e0 tous.<\/p>\n

Au d\u00e9part, Google \u00e9tait juste un projet universitaire, mais il a rapidement attir\u00e9 l’attention des investisseurs. En 1999, Google a re\u00e7u son premier investissement de 100 000 dollars de Andy Bechtolsheim, co-fondateur de Sun Microsystems. En 2004, Google a fait son entr\u00e9e en bourse et est devenu une entreprise publique.<\/p>\n

Depuis lors, Google a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper et \u00e0 se diversifier. En plus de son moteur de recherche, Google offre maintenant une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de services, tels que Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube et Google Drive. Google a \u00e9galement cr\u00e9\u00e9 Android, le syst\u00e8me d’exploitation mobile le plus populaire au monde.<\/p>\n

Aujourd’hui, Google est l’une des entreprises les plus puissantes et les plus influentes de l’industrie technologique. Avec plus de 130 000 employ\u00e9s dans le monde entier et des revenus annuels de plus de 180 milliards de dollars, Google est devenu un g\u00e9ant de la technologie qui fa\u00e7onne notre monde num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n
